H aving always dreamed of working in an environment that captured her love for art, design, and hair, Kari Staben Lisak created Moxie Hair and Design Studio:

Our Story

 It started out as a boutique salon with just four stations. Then, word quickly spread of the unique salon in Camarillo with an environment truly like no other. Within just a few months, the staff doubled in size - Growing from just four stylists to eight. With the blessing of having more stylists and business than the space could handle, Kari made the decision to expand to the building next door, more than doubling Moxie's size. Now, just a few years and more than three styling stations later, the Moxie family has grown to 18 stylists, 13 unique styling stations, and a special pedicure and manicure area, designed just for you.

The Moxie Way

 Moxie's environment is truly a one of a kind experience. Upon entering, you'll probably notice our custom cotton candy machine, a nice selection of beer and wine on tap, and an amazing assortment of treasures and vintage design pieces, candy, and boutique-style jewelry, art pieces, and special gifts for the family. At Moxie, you'll get the feel early on that you are not only in the company of an amazing team of talented stylists, but also a very close family. You will feel at home the second you walk in and hopefully be planning your next visit while thinking of all the friends you wish to share your amazing discovery with.
